While being on the Signature, my lifts have massively improved. Within about 3 months of being injury-free on programme, I increased my squat to 200kg in about a 12–16 week period, progressing by 2.5–5kg monthly.

I don’t normally download just any app, as I’m a trainer myself. However, between wanting to switch things up during December last year and January being one of my busiest months as a PT, it’s crucial for me to stay on top of my own training. What I find really helpful is the easy communication with Sam—if I’m struggling with anything or wondering about technique, I can message him and he can help me out. Recently I reported a weekly average weight of 86.2kg, up 0.65kg from last week, and at my club’s rugby presentation I won Players’ Player and Top Try Scorer after scoring 21 tries in 18 games.

After my weight loss journey, I found myself in a bit of a transition phase, unsure of how to elevate my performance to the next level. Transitioning into refereeing, I needed to be fast, agile, and mentally sharp. What initially led you to join SW7, and what were you hoping to achieve when you started?

I basically seen the programme online and seen results that others were achieving. A big factor was Sam and his mindset towards training even more so after reading his book. I like a structured approach to training with progressive end goals. I believe the programme led me towards my goals.How has your fitness, mindset, or lifestyle changed since becoming a member of SW7?
I believe training is for anyone and everyone. Adapting a programme to their individual needs with a holistic approach is key to success. My mindset towards towards nutrition has changed since starting with sw7. I want to eat for performance and still train as an athlete as I enter my 40s. I do CrossFit and play some gaelic football, as well and I believe the programme as help my performance there. Having a rugby background I still want to train how I played. This programme gives me that mentality.
What do you value most about the SW7 experience—whether it’s the coaching, community, or app features?
I enjoy how interactive the app is and that the guys behind the scene are great at replying back to questions I have as soon as possible.
Can you share a specific moment, breakthrough, or achievement you’re proud of since joining?
For me it has been the transformation in my appearance. I look better now at 40 than I did at 30. I’ve set PBs in weighted chin up and trapbar deadlift.
What would you say to someone who’s on the fence about joining SW7?
If you want to progress in sport and be functional in life join sw7. You’ll be stronger and fitter than ever before.

It wasn’t that I didn’t want to train or eat well – I just didn’t have the structure, the consistency, or the accountability I needed.
